Chris Brown
I have been a CT based artist for eleven years now and it has been the most rewarding career I could have ever imagined. I graduated college with a BA in fine arts in 2013 and that is where my artist story began. I donated a piece of art I made in school to an event, someone picked it up and commissioned me for more art. I got into more events and from there I kept receiving requests for more art so I ran with it.
I found my true passion in oil painting and that is work my work lies. I enjoy everything that oil has to offer especially the natural shine of the paint when it dries which I utilize quite often. I incorporate a lot of thick texture within my work which causes my work to have a 3-d like aspect to it. I use bright colors and bold contrast to bring upon a very strong image that instills a feeling that you could walk right into my paintings which I hear quite often.
Along my journey I always felt that everyone deserves and wants a nice piece of art but to me it had to be real so therefore I never do prints of my work. Of my entire career, which will remain the same, I have not and will not ever make a print of any of my pieces so each piece remains hand painted and unique in their own way.
